About the Method

Yes. Electrolysis is the only method recognized by the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) as "Permanent Hair Removal". Laser is classified only as "Permanent Hair Reduction". Once a follicle is successfully treated with electrolysis, it is destroyed and will never produce hair again.
Laser uses light to target the pigment (melanin) in the hair. It works well on dark hair and light skin but cannot treat white, blonde, or red hair, nor is it safe for all skin tones. It reduces the amount of hair but is rarely 100% definitive.

Electrolysis targets the follicle directly with energy, regardless of hair color or skin tone. It is more precise, slower, but guarantees total elimination.
Yes! It is the only effective method for white, grey, blonde, or red hair. Since we do not rely on pigment to conduct heat, the color of the hair does not matter.

Treatment & Results

Most clients describe the sensation as a slight heat or a tiny pinch. With our modern Apilus xCell equipment (27MHz), the comfort is incomparable to older machines. Many clients even fall asleep during the session. We also adjust the intensity to your sensitivity.
It is impossible to give an exact number without evaluating, as it depends on the amount of hair, the area, hormonal factors, and previous extraction methods (waxing/tweezing makes the root stronger).

Generally, you should expect a treatment period of 12 to 18 months to cover all hair growth cycles. Sessions start out frequent and become shorter and more spaced out over time.
Yes, you can cut or shave the hair. But you must NEVER pull the hair out by the root (wax, tweezers, epilator) while undergoing electrolysis treatment. Pulling the hair stimulates blood supply to the follicle and strengthens the root, undoing our progress.

Safety & Care

Immediately after treatment, it is normal to have slight redness and localized swelling, which disappears in 1 to 2 hours. Small crusts (pinhead size) may appear in the following days – this is part of the healing process and they should not be scratched. The skin heals completely without marks if post-care instructions are followed.
Yes. The Thermolysis method (which uses only heat, no galvanic current) is completely safe for pregnant women. However, we always recommend consulting your doctor before starting any treatment. We do not treat the abdominal area or breasts during pregnancy.
Absolutely. At Terry System, we follow strict hospital hygiene protocols. We use only disposable sterile probes (opened in front of you), gloves, and masks. Tweezers are sterilized in an autoclave.
